This is Celia's 7th season with RIbt. She has been featured as the "Spanish" soloist in Nutcracker Variations, the "Dawn Fairy" in Hansel & Gretel, and the "Queen" in Alice in Wonderland. She has also appeared in Drummin', Celtic Reflections, Dreamcatcher, Festival in Venice, Madeline, The Magnificent Toyshop, Stravinsky Variations, Espana, Blues and many others.
Additionally, Celia has danced with Festival Ballet and Dance Prism of Boston. She has appeared in many Fantasy Work's productions her favorite roles include “Glinda” in The Wizard of Oz , “Margie” in Bye Bye Birdie , and “Miss Bell” in Fame . Now Celia works as a choreographer for Fantasy Work's summer programs. She has also participated in a North Kingstown High School production of Once Upon a Mattress as "Lady Beatrice", Babes in Arms as "Anne", and Fame as “Iris Kelly”.
Celia has studied at RI Ballet Arts Academy since the age of three, where she is also a Teaching Intern. She has attended the summer intensive at the Briansky Saratoga Ballet Center.
A talented violinist, pianist and vocalist, Celia has received numerous medals at the Solo and Ensemble Festival. She has also won competitive auditions in All-state Chorus for six years, and was chosen to sing the National Anthem at McCoy Stadium. In the summer of 2006 she traveled to France, Belgium, and Amsterdam with the North Kingstown High School choir and orchestra. She started a group called “The Hummingbird Trio” that has sung in many venues around the state. She is also interested in writing poetry, with one of her poems selected out of 600 entries to be published in the International Sports Poetry Competition. She is a participant in the Johns Hopkins Talent Search, is on the Principal's Honor Role at North Kingstown High School, and is the publicist of the National Honor Society.
